Replacing a catalogue inductor is more than matching the inductance printed on the datasheet. Two parts with the same nominal value can differ in how inductance falls with DC bias, in core loss at the switching frequency and in self-resonant frequency, because those depend on core material and winding construction. An equivalent should therefore be approved in the actual circuit, with temperature rise and waveforms compared against the original, before it is added to the approved vendor list.
Vendor approval usually needs paperwork alongside the sample. We can provide a copy of our quality certificate, RoHS and REACH certificate copies on request, and test results for the samples submitted. For running production, share your expected release schedule at the quotation stage so that material and winding capacity can be planned against it. Each batch is recorded, so a field query can be traced to its lot.

In most cases, yes. We measure or read off the key values, choose a comparable core material and wind an equivalent that fits the same footprint. Because bias and loss behaviour vary between core materials, the part should be validated in your circuit. A free sample is provided for that approval.
Once a sample is approved, the core, wire and winding details are frozen as the build specification. Every unit in every batch is tested for inductance, DCR, Q factor, saturation current and hipot. Batch records identify the raw material and production date, so any variation can be investigated.
