Enquire nowA power inductor stores energy in its magnetic field during one part of the switching cycle and releases it in the next, which is how buck, boost and PFC stages regulate voltage and smooth current. NG Electronics is a power inductor manufacturer in India supplying these parts to makers of UPS systems, solar inverters, EV chargers, power supplies and automation equipment. Each inductor is wound on our own machines and checked for inductance, DCR and saturation current before it leaves the plant.
Three constructions cover most requirements. Toroidal inductors on iron powder or ferrite cores handle the higher currents and keep stray field low. Drum core inductors are compact and economical for lower-power rails, in shielded or unshielded form. Where neither fits, a custom power inductor can be built on MPP, Sendust, High Flux or nanocrystalline cores, with the winding, terminations and base designed around your board or chassis.
Sourcing Made in India inductors also simplifies the supply side. A domestic plant means no import clearance, direct communication with the engineers responsible for the part, and a shorter loop when a design changes after the first sample. As an inductor supplier in India shipping from Pune to all states, we hold catalogue parts in stock and build custom parts to order, with flexible quantities for prototypes as well as scheduled production.
ISO 9001:2015 certifiedThe table summarises our standard and custom power inductor ranges.
| Toroidal inductance range | 10 µH to 10 mH standard; 1 µH to 50 mH custom |
|---|---|
| Toroidal current rating | Up to 25 A standard; higher currents with heavier gauge or multi-strand copper |
| Drum core range | 1 µH to 1 mH; shielded and unshielded |
| Core materials | Iron powder and ferrite toroids; MPP, Sendust, High Flux, nanocrystalline and air cores for custom parts |
| Mounting formats | Through-hole, SMD, chassis and flying-lead; tape and reel for drum core parts where required |
| Saturation current and temperature rise | Specified per design |
| Testing | 100% electrical test: inductance, DCR, Q factor, saturation current, hipot |
| Compliance | RoHS and REACH compliant materials; certificate copies available on request |
| MOQ and sample lead time | About 10 pieces for R&D; custom samples typically within 7 to 10 working days |
Inductance is normally quoted at zero DC bias. Tell us the inductance you need at full load current so the core can be sized for it.
Power inductors for UPS and industrial automation equipment carry current continuously over long duty cycles, so thermal margin matters as much as inductance. Typical positions include the following.

Selection starts with two current figures. The peak current, including ripple, must stay below the point where the core saturates and inductance collapses. The RMS current sets copper loss through the winding resistance, and with it the temperature rise. Iron powder and similar distributed-gap materials lose inductance gradually as DC bias rises, which is forgiving in overload, whereas a gapped ferrite holds its value and then drops sharply.
Switching frequency is the next constraint. Core loss rises with frequency and ripple amplitude, so a material that suits a low-frequency filter may run hot in a fast converter; ferrite and MPP typically show lower core loss than iron powder at higher frequencies. Footprint then decides the construction: a toroid gives a closed magnetic path and low stray field, while a drum core saves board area at modest currents.

Buyers looking for an industrial inductor manufacturer usually need two things: parts that match the drawing every time, and a supplier who can answer technical questions directly. NG Electronics is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company with a team of over 50, and our winding and testing are done in one facility at Chimbli, Pune. Batch records connect each lot to the raw material used and its production date.
Before packing, each inductor goes through electrical testing on LCR testers and related equipment, and a test certificate can accompany the order on request. A technical quotation is issued within 24 working hours of receiving your specification. Stock items typically dispatch within 24 hours, and design support for custom parts is free against firm production intent, which keeps development cost down for new products.

Answers about power inductor manufacturer India from NG Electronics, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company
As a power inductor manufacturer in India, we produce toroidal power inductors on iron powder and ferrite cores, shielded and unshielded drum core inductors, and custom power inductors on MPP, Sendust, High Flux, nanocrystalline and air cores. Standard toroidal parts cover 10 µH to 10 mH at up to 25 A, and drum core parts cover 1 µH to 1 mH.
A toroid has a closed magnetic path, so it radiates little stray field and suits higher currents and noise-sensitive layouts. A drum core inductor is smaller and more economical, which suits low-power rails, but an unshielded drum has an open magnetic path and can couple into nearby traces. Current, frequency and available board area normally settle the choice.
Yes, as custom parts. Our standard toroidal range goes up to 25 A, and higher currents are achieved with heavier gauge or multi-strand copper on a suitably sized core. Share the inductance needed at full current, the peak and RMS values and the space available, and we will propose a design and supply a sample for evaluation.
Inductance and tolerance, peak and RMS current, switching frequency, ripple current if known, maximum dimensions, mounting style and expected annual quantity. An existing drawing or a reference sample also works. With these details we send a technical quotation within 24 working hours and can follow it with a free sample for lab approval.
Stock items listed in our online catalogue typically dispatch within 24 hours. Custom samples are typically ready within 7 to 10 working days from confirmation of the specification. For prototyping we accept quantities of about 10 pieces, and a single-piece prototype sample is possible for custom designs before a production order is placed.
Each inductor is electrically tested for parameters such as inductance, DCR, Q factor, saturation current and hipot, and a test certificate is available with the order on request. We use RoHS and REACH compliant materials, and certificate copies are available on request. Our quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
